Delegate Steele moves to amend the bill on page 8, line 41, by inserting “A health maintenance organization may deduct from gross income calculated under this section any amount of debt forgiven which is owed to the health maintenance organization by a natural person whose income is below 150% of the federally calculated poverty level.”
